Beyond the Dirt Band

Beyond the Dirt is a grunge band based in Tehran, Iran. The band has been active since early 2022, and the main line up consists of Mahdi Abbasi on guitars, Ali Pourbabaei on vocals, Ahoora Askarieh on drums, and Kamyar Maktoobi on bass. With the departure of rythm-guitar player (Behzad Khoshian) only months after the band came together, due to personality conflicts, the four main members tried to keep the heartbeat of their music going, and had several live underground performances in Tehran. The band’s main influences are music from 90s, specially grunge and alternative oldschools, injecting that love for the genre, to their own music.
